Brushing teeth?

I have a 11 month old baby with 5 teeth, how soon should you start brushing them, I know it%26#039;s going to be a chore.

Brushing teeth?
I started from a few weeks old with a washcloth over my finger just so she would get used to the feeling. Start now. Make it fun for the baby. Orajel makes a toddler/baby toothpaste that is safe if they swallow a little bit. Visit the dentist at about 1 1/2 years old though, just to make sure teeth are coming in right.
Reply:You can star brushing them now they have special toothpaste and tooth brushes for babies. My daughters first was Gerber grins and giggles.
Reply:As soon as they get teeth, they have special toothbrushes and toothpaste for babies.
Reply:with a soft toothbrush
Reply:i say, let them rott, just kidding, mayb once u should wait till he/she grows more teeth
Reply:I agree with now, but you wouldn%26#039;t even need toothpaste. Just a small toothbrush and water would work until he knows what you%26#039;re doing and how to do it.
Reply:my baby having teeth at his 3,5 month. I start brushing his teeth soon after I see it come out
Reply:Yes! You need to start as soon as they get them. You can buy baby tooth brushes anywhere. Also they should see a pediatric dentist 6 months after the FIRST tooth comes in.
Reply:it%26#039;s not as hard as you think. my son had 6 teeth by 8mo and i let him play with the toothbrush ( it actually helped w/the whole teething process). now every morning, he is now 14.5 mo, when i am brushing mine he HAS to have his toothbrush and he just goes to town. he watches me intensely and mimics my brushing. so just get your baby accustomed to the brush and it won%26#039;t be a problem at all!!
Reply:you should start brushing their teeth right after the first tooth pops out. so since you havent you should start right away. and yes, it is definately a chore with little ones, i have a 14 month old and my hubby and i have to brush her teeth as a team, one to hold her down, and the other to brush the teeth, it is really hard sometimes. the easiest one to use is the one that goes over your finger. good luck.
