Brushing teeth accident?

So I was brushing my teeth I week ago, and I think I did it too fast and I slipped with the brush and scraped some skin from the internal lower labial skin, near the gums but on the lip side. Now I have like a 3mm radius "crater" that hurts like hell, it won't heal and it's been over a week now. What can I do to heal it? It doesn't let me eat, brush my teeth, drink certain beverages. I need help.

Brushing teeth accident?
You can rinse out your mouth with a warm salt water mix. (I always wondered why you were supposed to gargle salt water for a cold. Turns out it's an amazingly good germ killer.) The salt will kill the germs and the warm water will soothe the cut. (just don't make it TOO strong a mix, or it will sting sting sting.)
Reply:I had the same problem...I just applied a oral medicine called orajel directly to the wound 2-3 times a day and it cleared up in a week. Other oral medicines work well too.
Reply:add a teaspoon of salt to some warm water and swish it around in ur mouth
Reply:I would put ora-jel and drink some vodka :)
Reply:It will heal itself after a while. Forget about it and avoid eating with that part of your mouth.
Reply:Brushing your teeth is pretty high up there on the danger scale. Up with handling raw plutonium and skydiving without a parachute. You should be more careful, maybe you should stick to mouthwash.
Reply:OK the WORST THING you can do is "add a teaspoon of salt to some warm water and swish it around in ur mouth" - Moron who said that.

You gotta put jel on it.
