Whats the point of brushing teeth in the morning?

You brush your teeth first thing in the morning. Then you eat. So what was the point? Wouldn't you first eat in the morning, and then brush your teeth? Then the brushing and toothpaste actually has an effect! What do you think?

Whats the point of brushing teeth in the morning?
You would be amazed at how much plaque and bacteria has accumulated on your teeth overnight. Without air in there, or at least a minimal amount, it is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. That bacteria is trying to eat away at your teeth.

So eat first, and then brush your teeth. Therefore, you brush off the plaque from the food and the plaque from overnight growth. I think that's a great idea!
Reply:never question brushing your teeth. you should look for occasions just to do it. always brush your teeth in the morning because of morning breath and saliva thickens in your mouth when you sleep so you tend to get a film on your teeth by morning. don't be gross. just go brush your teeth.
Reply:Yes i agree, but i guess no matter how many times u brush ur teeth, they get cleaner, in better conditon, helthier and whiter. Why not brush them when u get up, after eating and night? And besides, did anyone say that you do have to brush them before breakfast, isnt it when u want inthe morning?
Reply:I eat, then brush my teeth.

Fantastically ingenius plan, isn't it?!?!
Reply:ewww your suposed to brush in the morning and after every meal-it gets rid of that yellow stuff on your teeth(it has a name-duh) and it keeps them from getting brown and rotting ask your dentist-ohh and I think that might have sounded mean-sorry
Reply:Ew! Don't you ever have that DISGUSTING morning breath when you wake up??!! Well, I do, so I HAVE TO brush my teeth in the morning. Well, mostly my tongue, but definitely also my teeth. Yup. I actually brush before eating, eat, and then rinse with mouthwash. And generally I carry mints and gum with me just in case.
Reply:Brush your teeth after breakfast. . it gets rid of nasty morning breath!
Reply:first off it gets rid of morning breath which stinks
Reply:I hear you. You want what you do to have purpose and meaning. Question: is there someone who shares your morning breakfast table? Someone you love? Why not present a sweet smelling, fresh mouth to this person instead of (dun, dun, dun) morning breath?

Your morning coffee or bagel doesn't care what you smell like, but that someone special will delight in the scent of toothpaste over (dun, dun, dun) morning breath.

No one sharing your morning news? skip the brush till you're through with the toast. Just don't forget to floss!
Reply:Well, I do see your point, Mayne.

But mainly, your breath smells absolutely atrocious in first thang in the morning. UNLESS you have Stellar breath first thang in the morning, you will most likely require to brush your tooths, because you will likely spew a horrible, atramentous cloud.

Women find this cloud to be utterly repugnant, yo!!!!!

Hey dude- seriously, if you brush your Tooths at nite with that Colgate 12 hour crap, it works well.

Alzo alzo, it depends if you snore, if you open your mouth when you breathe during sleep, eck cetera.

But I do acknowledge your point.

But with me, I have OCD and what not. I actually wash my hands both before and after having eaten. It is not strange for me to brush my Tooths before I eat..so long as it isn't IMMEDIATELY before I began gorging on various Foods, Dudes.

Take care, dude yo!
Reply:You know that funny taste and smell in your mouth when you get up in the morning is actually all them there little bacteria that have spent the night in your mouth partying. They get all drunked up on your saliva, and some of them pee, and some poop, and you wake up with bad breath. That's why you want to brush first thing...
Reply:HERE'S AN EXPERIMENT YOU CAN TRY.

BUY SOME AGENT COOL BUE(LISTERINE), AND USE IT TO REVEAL ALL THE BLUE DENTALPLAQUE BEFORE YOU BRUSH.

IT WILL BE FASCINATING. TONS AND TONS OF FILTHY BLUE BACTERIA ALL OVER YOUR TEETH AND GUMS.

WHY HAVE ALL THAT CRAP IN YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU HAVE BREAKFAST?
Reply:If you are staying in and just sitting in your kitchen to eat your breakfast then you certainly may wait until after you eat to brush your teeth. However if you are going out for breakfast or are running short on time it is a good idea to brush your teeth first. After all it is easier to eat on the run than it is to brush you teeth on the run.
Reply:would you like to have breakfast while your mouth smells???
Reply:I've always wondered that too....

I brush my teeth after I eat anyways
Reply:get good breath..
