Will brushing teeth infect wisdom teeth area?

It's been 1-2 weeks now, and I have avoided brushing in the wisdom teeth area. I'm just wanting to make sure will it infect it in anyway?

Will brushing teeth infect wisdom teeth area?
no no no!! get your brush in there and clean them, not cleaning them will only encourage infection, as bacteria can stagnate there very easily. Even if your wisdom teeth are not through yet or only partially through just clean that area like you wouyld clean the rest of your mouth, thats theo nly way you are going to avoid infection!
Reply:if they're impacted but still in there, no, but it will irritate the area.

if they're removed already, and you have stitches or holes, no, but it will hurt like heck and cause bleeding.

to avoid infection, use a mouthwash like Listerine.
Reply:No, it will have the opposite effect. Go ahead and brush back there. You have had your blood clots formed, and if you had dissolvable stitches, they too are gone.

You need to clean the area, and it is okay to use mouthwash again, too.
