When do you start brushing childrens teeth?

My son is 6 months old and has his first teeth, when should I start brushing them?

When do you start brushing childrens teeth?
You should start brushing them NOW. Brush teeth as soon as they appear. You can use a soft, wet cloth to wipe them over but you might as well get him used to the toothbrush now. The sooner it is introduced the better.
Reply:Well, u should be rubbing his gums and tooth now with a washcloth. Gerber had this little plastic thing u put over your finger and it acts like a gentle toothbrush for babies. It's pretty neat.
Reply:It's just as important that the gums get a clean so start now with a soft clean cloth and work up to letting him/ her chew and play with a soft baby's brush until he/ she is used to it.
Reply:You should start even before they have teeth. The make special gum brushes
Reply:Now! At least twice a day with baby toothbrush (extra soft) and non flouride toothpaste. Do not use regular paste untill he can spit it out thouroughly.
Reply:The key to establishing good brushing habits is starting an oral care program early . In fact, the American Dental Association suggests that you begin cleaning your baby's mouth the first few days after birth.

Please send me the 10 points ?!
Reply:when there 2 yrs old because of the tooth paste. but u can brush with warm water. the tooth paste has like a lot of sodium in it. and regardless of the tooth paste children or adult. just brush with warm water until he turns about 2 yrs old and get children tooth paste. That's what i did my son. And his teeth are so pretty.
Reply:The day the first tooth appears. Also, the first trip to the dentist needs to be soon, and every six months after. Starting now will ensure no problems later down the road with fear of the dentist.

Good luck~
Reply:Now. Look for a "baby toothbrush trainer kit" that will be in the drugstore with all the other baby stuff, like pacifiers, etc. Just follow the schedule printed on the package.

What you feed your child and when is FAR more important than toothbrushing, but it is a good idea to start the toothbrushing so he will never know any different.
Reply:they have several different tooth brushes for several stages you should have already been doing it. You are suppose to brush (rub) their gums with FLOURIDE FREE until she is old enough.
