Would brushing my teeth with baking soda wear down my enamel even if I dissolved it first in water?

I read alot of mixed opinions regarding this issue on this site but nobody mentioned whether or not the enamel will be worn down if the baking soda is dissolved? I really like the clean feeling I get from brushing with baking soda but I dont want to jack my teeth up for life. (oh, btw, i mix the dissolved baking soda with toothpaste in my mouth)

no, baking soda cannot destroy enamel, which is the strongest substance in your body.
Reply:No, I asked the doctor, and he said that whitening systems do that, but mix it with peroxide to lift stains.
Reply:That sounds fine, just dont use baking soda everyday. Or try buying a toothpaste like arm %26amp; hammer which already has the baking soda in it.
