Brushing kids teeth!!!!?

My son will be 2 nex week and I try to brush his teeth every morning but he always eats up all the toothpaste when I start brushing his teeth, is this harmful, is there an alternative.

Brushing kids teeth!!!!?
At two, all he needs is a tiny smear of toothpaste on the toothbrush. Put a small dot of toothpaste and use a finger to almost wipe it all off. Technically you don't need to use any toothpaste especially if your tap water contains fluoride. In addition to brushing his teeth every morning, you should also try and do it at night as well. Don't let him brush unsupervised until he is about 7 or 8.
Reply:if you are using toddler toothpaste there is no harm. just let him brush without toothpaste, the point is to get him used to brushing everyday.
Reply:not harmful but usetoddler toothpaste and let him use it himself. he will eventually learn on his own.
Reply:It can be harmful (I think), if he swallows it for a long period of time (like after 10 years). If he's two, I suggest that you buy special 'kid' toothpaste that is less harmful, and sing a song while doing it, so he's not focused on having something shoved in his mouth.
