Limit to brushing your teeth?
I know the dentists recommends atleast twice a day. But I heard no more than about 3 times a day. I think you are fine with brushing 3-4 times a day. Just no more than that because you may wear down the enamel on your teeth or gums. That's what I was told. If you are worried about brushing too much, I would say atleast 2-3 times and then floss after each meal and that should be enough.
Reply:I think you have OCD.
Reply:I am a dentist, and I brush 4 times a day: Once after each meal, once before I go to sleep at night. I also floss once a day somewhere in there (usually after dinner).

This is the best regimen to prevent plaque buildup (which is what causes all the problems like cavities, gum disease, bad breath, etc).

If you brush with the right technique, you won't hurt your teeth or your gums. Next time you have your checkup, ask your dentist to show you the modified Bass technique.

Hope this helps.
