Got my wisdom teeth out three days ago: brushing teeth help?

my cheeks are swollen and i've done the salt mouthrinse . however, when i try to brush my teeth, it always bleeds a little. i'm worried if this will delay the healing time of my wisdom teeth removal. what should i do? also, do you have any suggestions to reduce the swelling?

Ice will reduce the swelling. Do it 20 mins on, 20 mins off. I'd call your doctor and ask about brushing your teeth.
Reply:Hey, I had my wisdom teeth out a few months ago. Are you brushing the wound site? Because you're supposed to stay away from there for about a week, and always brush very gently. Use an antiseptic mouthwash, and an ice pack and/or iboprofen should sort the swelling.

Reply:Try using the new "Brush Up" product until you are healed. It's the finger "glove" that comes in like a handwipe packet and provides just as good a clean feeling as brushing for a few days.

Feel better soon!
Reply:You still need to brush your teeth that are around the extraction sites, just be VERY gentle. Yes, you may have a little blood, but that' normal. To reduce the swelling, using ice packs for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off should reduce it.
Reply:I do not think you should be brushing your teeth back there just yet. What did the Dentist tell you? I think rinsing with warm salty water is good. Keep the mouth clean. Try to put ice packs on cheeks and that might help the swelling down. If that does not help, call dentist. They will be able to help you the best.
