Brushing teeth when you lunch at work ?

I do, but I know lot of people who don't. However, it's a necessity ! Please, have a fresh breath and be healthy: brush your teeth after each meal !

Brushing teeth when you lunch at work ?
I've done that once, but woman in my office got offended when they saw me brushing my teeth in the restroom.

I don't "get" American's anymore. What's the big deal?
Reply:Yeah, right on
Reply:Congrats that you do it, but that doesn't mean EVERYONE should.
Reply:Ok, what is the question?
Reply:i guess the answer is no
Reply:Haha,

I don't do it at school

A lot of the toilets smell of smoke from people smoking in there and people would give me weird looks,

Also most the taps don't work.
Reply:only if i can have my own private bathroom. No way will i do that in my works restroom..
Reply:good for you
Reply:I think it's more of a hygiene issue (oh the irony!) of it being a workplace.

Did you know that some diseases (like Hepatitis) can be contracted through ANY opening into the body (even a cut on a finger!) and can be transmitted through ANY human fluid? (including saliva!)

I work at a Deli, so there's no way I could use the "kitchen" sinks for obvious health reasons, and I wouldn't want to do so in the grocery store bathroom, either.

I keep mints on hand though and just wait until I get home.
Reply:Brushing your teeth at work in the bathroom is not too bad....as long as your not slobbering spit and toothpaste all over the place.
Reply:You are supposed to brush your teeth at least twice a day. However, after every meal is better. But, everyone has their own way of doing things!
Reply:Well you are making a statement, but yes I do because:

I don't want to talk to coworkers with food caught in my teeth.

I want to avoid bad breath.

It is good dental hygiene.

and lastly

I makes me not want to snack or eat more.
Reply:I always used to brush after lunch at school.
Reply:It's a good habit, but not a necessity. Keeping your teeth clean and fighting cavity causing bacteria is the necessity and there are other ways of doing that. I will use some mouthwash and sugarfree gum in most cases.

I just don't feel office bathrooms with dozens of people using them on a daily basis is a very sanitary place to brush my teeth, I'd rather do so at home.
Reply:I always try to, but at school it is hard because school bathrooms are gross and I don't want to bring a toothbrush to school. Dental hygiene is very important though.
