It really hurts brushing my teeth and my gums bleed the color of strawberries. Could someone help?

I use to put off brushing my teeth everynight. Now I'm trying to get back into the routine of brushing them every night. But it hurts brushing near the gums and they bleed the color of red strawberries. I'm trying to put up with it and hope for a good result. I can't afford dental.

most probably your problem is called gingivitis bleeding is one parameter of gum deaseas and also color of your gum ...

you had better visit your dentist for professional cleaning which is usually solved gingivitis problem in that visit after cleaning your gum can be healthy by itself

but if you are late to visit your dentist you may lost your teeth because of gum deaseas
Reply:Yes! Your dentist!
Reply:Use a softer toothbrush. (rinse you mouth with salted water to help heal your sore gums)
Reply:Buy a softer bristled toothbrush :D and maybe some antiseptic mouthwash, just incase bacteria is causing your unusual bleeding.

Erm, please check with your doctor, since i had a friend who was confused as to why her gums bleed when she brushed it with her usual toothbrush(that she's been using for years) It turns out she was on her way to leukemia, caused due to lack of sleep from studying. Good thing she got treated early or else....
Reply:it is common to see blood in your mouth if: not enough fluid in your body in summer time, drink more water,

start rinse your mouth, if you can with mouth wash against gingivitis, cheaper version, you can use salt water or spirit, do not hesitate, take care.
Reply:use soft tooth brush and sensodine toothpaste
Reply:Try flossing along with brushing and mouthwash.
Reply:Start using sensodyne, and brush lightly 3 or 4 times a day with it until the bleeding stops.

In the mean time try to get in to see your dentist because it sounds like gingivitis. If this is not taken care of you will be gumming mashed potatos...

Keep smiling !!!
Reply:I use to have the problem then i was recommended a water pick used that for a week and now my gums do not bleed when i brush
Reply:my son had same problem, went to dentist and a good thing,it is called gingivitis,a bacteria that grows under the gum and could next turn into periodonal desease, which if not treated can cause bone lose therefore tooth loss.please see dentist pronto, unless you love jello.good luck,in mean time sensodine toothpaste is good and soft brush.
Reply:continue what you are doing as far as brushing but take it another step furthur. i would suggest brushing twice a day for no less than 2 minutes each time. make sure you put the bristles at the gumline- the bleeding is telling you that bacteria is attacking the gums and the gums want you to get them clean as can be.rinse with salt water too to help. in about 2 weeks- it should be ever so much better- then add in flossing once a day. at first just floss the areas you can reach easily and after a few days add in the other teeth.

as soon as you can afford to- go see the hygienist and let her professionally clean your teeeth. your gums will be so much happier for it.
Reply:softer tooth brush and rinse with warm salt water
Reply:If you haven't brushed regularly in a while, there is undoubtedly build up of tartar around your gumline, this is why you are seeing bleeding and tenderness. You do need to see a dentist to have a cleaning to remove the tartar (this will never happen with a tooth brush alone) once the cleaning is done then you need to maintain your teeth by brushing and flossing every day twice a day!!! no exceptions! I know dental care is expensive but you can check in your area for a dental school or hygiene school in your, they charge lesser rates than a dentist and they are monitored closely by their instructors.

  1. A beautiful smile helps in winning a million hearts. So in case you have a new-born baby, then take proper care of his teeth and help him in developing good dental hygiene habits. But this should actually begin before you can see your child's first tooth.
